Pelicano 18 Center Console
Designed by Sam Devlin
An 18 ft 5 in open outboard fishing boat, the center console version of the Pelicano 18. The hull is Sam Devlin's take on the Mexican panga: a fast six-panel planing form with a stainless-shod purpleheart keel for beaching. This layout keeps the deck clear, with stowage under a hinged console. Beam is 7 ft 5 in, about 1,490 lb dry with engine and battery, and 90 hp gives more than 40 mph.
Stitch and glue over five bulkheads and two longitudinals, with a second plywood layer cold molded onto the bottom. The simplest Pelicano 18, it suits a careful builder with one small boat done. Devlin quotes 700 to 900 hours for the larger Pelicano 23; budget roughly 400 to 650 here. Real hours from logged builds are below.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
