Skoota 36
Designed by Jacques Mertens
An 11 m (36 ft) cabin power catamaran by Richard Woods of Woods Designs, also listed by Bateau. It comes in two versions on the same semi-displacement hulls: a comfortable live-aboard cruiser and a sportier day-charter boat. The study plans give a 5.5 m beam, 0.5 m draft, 2 m headroom, twin 60 hp outboards for a 10 to 14 knot cruise, and berths for six. It can be demounted to travel in two containers.
Building plans are offered in plywood or foam sandwich. The designer's page shows one built to a high standard by a first-time builder, but the scale is that of a small ship. As a rule of thumb budget 5,000 hours or more over several years. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Skoota 36 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.

If you are building one, yours becomes the reference: the page the next person building this boat finds when they search for it. One photo and one line is a valid first entry.
