Blekingseka no. 14
Designed by Bertil Andersson
Of the Blekingseka drawings this is the smallest and probably the most useful to a first-time builder. She was built in 1972 at Mårtenssons on Östra Hästholmen, entirely of oak, and measured in July 1980 at 4.28 m by 1.47 m.
The set is unusually complete for this collection: four sheets at 1:10 with a spritsail plan, a construction drawing, a frame drawing with the planking drawn out, and a lines plan. It is also one of the few drawings offered as a full-size 1:1 version, which saves the lofting. The type itself is an open rowing and sailing boat with the five-sided transom set high on the sternpost that marks every Blekingseka, and the spritsail shown here was the most common rig for it.
What building a Blekingseka no. 14 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
