14ft Driftboat
Designed by Glen-L Marine
The 14 ft size of Glen-L Marine's McKenzie and Rogue River driftboats, the mid-size choice for two anglers on most fishing rivers. Like the rest of the family it is a frame-free plywood hull with integral side trays and decked bow and stern compartments, drawn to be quick and light to build while matching production driftboats in response to the oars and stability in fast water.
Suited to a beginner with patience. Full-size patterns, no lofting, standard plywood, and an optional outboard up to 10 hp. Plan on about 150 to 280 hours. Actual medians from build logs are below.
What building a 14ft Driftboat actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
