Draggarnseka no. 32
Designed by Bertil Andersson
Nothing is known of who built this boat or when; she came from Lagaholm in Halland, the only Halland boat among these drawings, and was measured in 1981. Her name translates as drag-net eka, and she is filed with the flat-bottomed skiffs.
What sets her apart is her shape. At 4.04 m long she is only 0.82 m wide, very much narrower than anything else in the collection, proportions closer to a canoe than to a typical eka. The plan is a single construction drawing at 1:10. With so little recorded about her use beyond the name, a builder gets an accurate record of an unusual regional boat and has to supply the rest of the story.
What building a Draggarnseka no. 32 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
