A 13 ft 3 in flat-bottomed plywood rowboat from Glen-L Marine, named by Glen L. Witt's four-year-old daughter Gayle, and a sturdy, basic boat that gets the job done: the prototype lasted 30 years and a beachside pier ran a rental fleet of them. Quarter-inch sides, three-eighths bottom, about 175 lb, oars or an outboard to 10 hp.
A simple first build in conventional plywood. Allow 80 to 150 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
