Poleboat 13
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 13 ft 2 in marsh hunting boat by Sam Devlin, a modern version of the poleboats that were once rowed or poled out to the shooting grounds before outboards took over. Stitch and glue plywood, 3 ft 8.5 in beam, 98 lb, 5.5 in draft loaded and a 360 lb maximum load, enough for up to two hunters. It is light enough to car-top or drag across grass and cattails to the water, and is propelled by oars or a push-pole.
A small decked hull with no engine installation, well within reach of a first-time builder. Budget 60 to 120 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
