Krokeka no. 21
Designed by Bertil Andersson
The largest Blekingseka in this group is a krokeka, from krok, a hook, the name the type took when it was used for line fishing. Lars Andersson built her of oak at Vitemölla in Skåne in 1918. She later had an inboard engine, and by the time she was measured in September 1980 her interior and rig were gone.
Because so much was missing, the first of the four 1:10 sheets is a profile drawing with Andersson's reconstruction of the boat as she would have been, followed by construction, frame and lines drawings. At 6.15 m long and 2.20 m wide she is a substantial open boat, and a builder would be working from a carefully reasoned reconstruction rather than a surviving rig. Suited to someone who wants a big traditional open boat with documented ancestry.
What building a Krokeka no. 21 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
