Fairhaven Flyer 20

A 20 ft 4 in expedition rowing dory by Sam Devlin, designed in 2005 for Dale McKinnon, who had built his Oarling and wanted a boat for a solo row from Ketchikan, Alaska to Puget Sound. She made the trip that year in the first boat. The dory converts quickly between single and double rowing stations and will carry passengers or a heavy load of gear, drawing 7 in at 795 lb all up. Beam is 4 ft 2 in.
McKinnon built hers against a tight deadline, and the stitch and glue hull is within reach of a first-timer, though long. Budget 120 to 220 hours as a rule of thumb. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
