Annapolis Wherry Tandem
Designed by Chesapeake Light Craft
A 19 ft 10 in sliding-seat rowing wherry from Chesapeake Light Craft, the Annapolis Wherry stretched two feet with the same 38 in beam. It rows as a double, as a single with an adult passenger, or solo, and the rigs swap in moments. The LapStitch lapstrake plywood hull weighs about 90 lb and carries 650 lb including the rowing units. Complete kits, wood-parts kits and full-size plans are sold.
CLC grades it a beginner build. Its estimate is 120 hours: 70 to 80 to assemble the hull, then 30 to 40 for sanding, painting and varnishing. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Annapolis Wherry Tandem actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
