An 18 ft centre-console outboard skiff by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, a smaller and easier to build relative of the Ocracoke 20 that won a WoodenBoat design contest. Beam is 6 ft 10 in, deadrise 12 degrees, hull weight about 1,200 lb and maximum power 60 hp. With 25 hp it tops out near 21 knots, and B&B calculates about 15 miles per gallon at 15 knots. Plans, templates and a CNC kit are offered.
Full-size developed plywood panels drape over an egg crate jig that stays in the boat as structure. B&B says it is not an introductory stitch and glue project but suits a competent amateur. Budget 600 to 1,000 hours as a rough guide. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
