One of the KIS series, drawn so that the hull can carry the spars and sails of a popular production dinghy rather than asking the builder to make or buy a rig from scratch. Rigging is where amateur builds usually overrun on cost, and a second-hand racing rig in good condition is both cheap and easy to find.
A 4.23 m dinghy in the KIS series, drawn around the rig of a popular class boat so the mast and sails can be bought off the shelf or picked up used. Chine hull, stitch and glue, a beginner build.
