OzonaX Nesting Pram
Designed by Bedard Yacht Design
The OzonaX is a 10 ft nesting pram that grew out of Bedard's earlier Ozona Pram after cruisers asked for a slightly bigger dinghy that would break down for stowage aboard. With the seats removed, the two halves nest into a package 62 in by 50 in by 21 in, and neither half weighs more than 50 lb. Once the boat is joined, the seats lock in so they cannot be lost in a capsize or under tow.
She is about 4 ft 1 in wide, draws 6 in and displaces 565 lb, with a 75 sq ft sailing rig available alongside the oars. Kit panels arrive with stitching holes pre-drilled and are marked with part IDs and bulkhead positions, so the hull can be zip-tied together without special tools. The paper plans have three large sheets, two 12 ft rolls of full-size templates and an assembly manual.
What building a OzonaX Nesting Pram actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
