Tenderly 10-foot Dinghy

A 10 ft stem dinghy by John C. Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft, sitting between the Eastport Pram and the Passagemaker in the range. The LapStitch lapstrake plywood hull is 52 in wide with a 425 lb payload, room for two adults and a child, spacered inwales, and a 62 sq ft balanced lug; it also rows well and takes a 2 hp outboard. Every base kit includes the daggerboard trunk and mast step. Kits and full-size plans are sold.
Kits are aimed at first-time builders, though CLC's skill rating is intermediate and scratch builders face a high parts count. CLC says the hull assembles in about 50 hours and quotes 120 to 150 in total. Budget 130 to 200. Real hours from logged builds are below.
