32 ft Trawler Yacht Ladybug
Designed by Jay R. Benford
A 32 ft design from Jay Benford's catalog, drawn for cold moulded or strip planked construction, so the same hull can be built in whichever suits the shop. Ladybug grew out of the Deadrise Boat designs and their simple sawn-frame construction. One of the trawler yachts, a range drawn mostly to commission for owners with decades of sea time behind them, which is why so many of them carry variations: each was tailored to somebody's own idea of the ideal liveaboard.
Benford publishes a displacement of 15,100 lb in coastal cruising trim, which is tanks full with the crew and their stores aboard rather than a shipping weight. Plans are sold to owner-builders, and study plans are sold separately for anyone wanting to look before committing.

Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
