A 35 ft design from Jay Benford's catalog, drawn for carvel planked construction. Strumpet, like Ladybug, grew out of the Deadrise Boat designs and their simple sawn-frame construction. One of the trawler yachts, a range drawn mostly to commission for owners with decades of sea time behind them, which is why so many of them carry variations: each was tailored to somebody's own idea of the ideal liveaboard.
Benford publishes a displacement of 24,600 lb in coastal cruising trim, which is tanks full with the crew and their stores aboard rather than a shipping weight. Plans are sold to owner-builders, and study plans are sold separately for anyone wanting to look before committing.
