A 3.12 m rowing boat from Boatkits, the kit arm of Denmark's Boatplans ApS, delivered as CNC-cut plywood for stitch-and-glue assembly. It was scaled down from the firm's popular 12 ft rowboat after customer requests and keeps the same soft vee bottom, which the page credits for its rowing manners. About 25 kg, it goes on a car roof and carries two adults with lunch and fishing gear. The table also allows a 2 to 5 hp outboard.
A small, light hull that a beginner can manage. Boatkits gives 35 to 45 hours for hull and structure only and puts fairing, paint and outfitting at 1 to 1.5 times that again. A rough budget is 70 to 110 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
