A 4.59 m rowing catamaran sold as a CNC-cut stitch-and-glue plywood kit by Boatkits (Boatplans ApS, Denmark). The brief was a family boat that moves easily under oars yet is as steady as a flat-bottomed skiff. Overall beam is 1.20 m, weight about 50 kg, and it carries up to three. The data table also lists a 7.38 sq m sail area and 2 to 5 hp of outboard power.
Two hulls mean more parts than a dinghy of the same length, though each is a simple shape. Boatkits gives 60 to 70 hours for hull and structure only and puts fairing, paint and outfitting at 1 to 1.5 times that again. A rough budget is 120 to 175 hours.
