A 3.65 m flat-water fishing skiff from Mark Bowdidge of Bowdidge Marine Designs in Australia. The brief was easy planing at low power, stability at rest and low fuel use, in a hull light enough to trailer anywhere: the designer puts the bare hull at about 55 kg. Beam is 1.7 m, deadrise 10 degrees at the transom, and she takes a 9.9 to 15 hp short-shaft outboard with a portable tank.
Bowdidge says she was drawn specifically for ease of construction by a first-time builder, in plywood composite, and to be cheap to build. Eleven plan sheets include full-size bulkhead patterns and nearly 200 build photos. With no designer figure, budget 120 to 220 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
