Pro Tournament 21

Designed by Mark Bowdidge

A 6.4 m offshore centre console by Mark Bowdidge of Bowdidge Marine Designs, Australia, built in strip plank composite. The hull has 25 degrees of deadrise and flared bows on a 2.31 m beam, drawing about 373 mm. A single outboard of 150 to 175 hp is said to give 40 knots or more at 1,400 kg loaded, and 200 hp is the maximum. Fuel is 200 litres, or 300 as an option, and the fit-out includes a livewell, toilet, fish boxes and a walk-through transom.

The plans run to 25 sheets and a private strip-planking video. The method is learnable, but the volume of fairing and sheathing makes this a long build. With no designer figure, expect 1,200 to 2,000 hours. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
