The look comes from the sport runabouts of the 1930s, with the helm right aft and a long deck covering a big engine ahead of it. The hull lines are kept close to the originals, and because she is substantially lighter than they were she gets similar and quite brisk performance from a smaller engine. The smaller engine bay buys a large cockpit forward of the helm seating four, and a sun deck in the bow, which is space that type of boat usually wastes; it extends by 2 m with the cockpit seat back raised.
A 6.42 m runabout by Matteo Costa and Enrico Macera, taking its look from the sports boats of the 1930s with the helm right aft and a long foredeck over the engine. Plywood and strip planking together, and a build for somebody with experience.
