microBootlegger Solo

A 14 ft strip-planked single by Nick Schade, sold as plans and kits by Chesapeake Light Craft. It follows his microBootlegger tandem in borrowing the look of a 1920s mahogany runabout, and is close to a decked double-paddle canoe: 26 in wide with a large 35 by 19 in cockpit, stable and roomy but narrow enough to paddle all day. Maximum payload is 250 lb. It can be built with a smaller keyhole cockpit for rock-garden play, and stripped in mahogany for the runabout look or in cedar.
