Designed by Sam Devlin
A 16 ft 2 in (4.94 m) deep, load-carrying fishing skiff by Sam Devlin, likened on his site to a pickup truck. She is dry in a chop yet light enough to launch off a beach, and runs well on 10 to 30 hp. Lockable stowage and enclosed flotation add safety and stiffen the hull. A casting deck version is sold separately, and a CNC-cut kit is available.
Stitch and glue, and the site notes she can be finished quickly to a workboat standard or taken as far as the builder's patience allows. A good first powerboat. Budget 200 to 350 hours as a rule of thumb. Real hours from logged builds are below.
