Audeen
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 16 ft 3 in classic mid-engine ski and utility boat from Glen-L Marine, named by Glen L. Witt after Audry Green, whom he dated for years. Vee-bottomed sheet plywood, about 800 lb, a central straight-shaft inboard, most often a small-block Chevy, and often finished with varnished mahogany decks. Glen-L publish a beam of 7 ft 0 in and a hull depth of 37 in.
They put the usual load at 4 people. The hull is a vee bottom, hard chine, developed for sheet plywood planking. For power they specify centrally located inboard motor. They draw a matching trailer for her. Glen-L says just about any amateur can build it from the plans and full-size patterns. Budget 450 to 750 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Audeen actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
