Godzilla 25
Designed by Sam Devlin
A 24 ft 8 in displacement tug-style cruiser by Sam Devlin, the larger follow-up to the Godzilla 22 and built the same stitch and glue way. Beam is 9 ft, draft 33 in and displacement 5,800 lb. A flush foredeck opens up the forward cabin for a double berth, and the 75 hp Yanmar diesel specified for the first boat loafs at half throttle while supplying cabin heat. The designer drew it with Puget Sound and even Southeast Alaska cruising in mind.
Study and construction plans are sold. With an inboard diesel, a pilothouse with opening windows and a full interior, it suits an experienced amateur. As a rule of thumb, expect 2,000 to 3,000 hours. The medians below come from builders who logged this boat here.
