Design

Monte Carlo

Designed by Glen-L Marine

A 24 ft 6 in classic barrel-back inboard runabout from Glen-L Marine in the style of the finest Chris-Crafts, with the sides sweeping into the deck in a half-barrel arc at the stern and two cockpits forward that can be combined. Cold-molded plywood and veneers fully epoxy-encapsulated, so it does not leak or need to stay in the water; central inboard of 300 to 450 cu in.

Cold molding plus a gleaming mahogany finish is a long, rewarding job. Budget 1,500 to 2,500 hours over two to five years. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
