Pelicano 18 Sportster
Designed by Sam Devlin
A new sport version of Sam Devlin's 18 ft Pelicano outboard skiff, announced in February 2026. The designer describes it as sleek and fast with the feel of a sports car, a boat for a day's exploring that ends tied up outside a waterside restaurant. It is built stitch and glue like the other Pelicano 18 versions, and the site tags it as available as a kit. Study plans and full construction plans are sold, printed or as downloads, with metric and imperial measurements.
The site publishes no dimensions or power figures for the Sportster yet, so check the study plans. Devlin quotes 700 to 900 hours for the larger Pelicano 23; as a rule of thumb, budget 450 to 750 here. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
What building a Pelicano 18 Sportster actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
