A 17.39 m (57 ft 1 in) cruising catamaran by Dudley Dix, the foam sandwich fiberglass sister of his plywood DH550. The stern is extended aft of the rear beam and the sheer is restyled, with glass or carbon laminates. Overall beam is 8.7 m, half-load displacement 12,500 kg, with daggerboards or fixed cruising keels and twin 50 hp diesels. The page spells the name both Aquinus and Acquinus.
Dix says the composite build is more complex than the plywood DH550, needs specialised skills and costs more, and he steers builders without those skills to the plywood boat. Moulded components for owner assembly were also planned by a European builder. Expect well over 10,000 hours as a rough guide. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
