A 17 ft 11 in (5.46 m) garvey powerboat by Dudley Dix, the big sister developed from the Inlet Runner 16 for inshore fishing, diving and general use on relatively protected water. It is stitch and glue plywood, 9 mm hull and 6 mm decks, sheathed in fiberglass outside, with bottom runners that act as planing strakes. The flat deck version takes up to 75 hp and the centre console up to 160 hp. Hull and deck weigh about 275 kg.
Drawn mainly for amateur builders, with bulkhead tabs that lock into slotted panels, illustrated building instructions, optional full size paper or Mylar patterns, and CNC plywood kits. Budget 300 to 500 hours as a rule of thumb. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
