A 17 ft inboard runabout from Glen-L Marine with a clipper bow and raked transom in fifties style, a bulbous forefoot and reverse-curve chine borrowed from its big cruisers, and a central straight-shaft inboard, typically a small-block Chevy. Double-diagonal quarter-inch plywood bottom in strips, sheet plywood sides, about 850 lb; a straight transom is an option.
The double-diagonal bottom is the extra work over a sheet-plywood runabout. Budget 500 to 850 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
