A 17 ft deep-vee overnighter from Glen-L Marine, the same soft-riding hull as the Roustabout with two full-length berths in a cuddy and plenty of cockpit for fishing. Sheet plywood, about 900 lb; outboards to 135 hp total or a stern-drive inboard to 650 lb.

Glen-L's point is that sheet plywood puts a deep-vee hull within an amateur's reach at a fraction of a production boat's cost. Budget 400 to 650 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
