Class AB
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 10 ft 6 in racing runabout from Glen-L Marine drawn to the old APBA A and B classes, no longer active, in which straightaway runs over 60 and 70 mph were recorded. Monoplane bottom, flaring anti-trip sides, cut-away bow, minimal frontal area. Sheet plywood, about 110 lb; plans and patterns or a frame kit.
Simple, light and strong construction. Budget 120 to 220 hours. Real hours from logged builds show below.
What building a Class AB actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
