Double Eagle
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 23 ft trailerable lobster boat from Glen-L Marine that keeps the Down East look on a hard-chine vee-bottom hull, which is easier to build than a round bilge and a little faster. Sheet plywood or sheet aluminum; central inboard to 875 lb with a deep protective skeg, or stern drive or outboards.
A conventional plywood build with a classic result. Budget 800 to 1,400 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Double Eagle actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
