Eagle
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 22 ft trailerable lobster boat from Glen-L Marine, a scaled-down round-bilge New England workboat built over temporary forms in conventional strip planking or a strip core with double veneers, sheathed in glass, three-quarter inch minimum; separate plans exist for one-off fiberglass. Berths for two; central inboard, stern drive or outboards.
Strip planking a round-bilge 22-footer is patient work but well documented for the home builder. Budget 800 to 1,400 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Eagle actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
