Glen-L 15
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 15 ft 1 in plywood sloop from Glen-L Marine whose defining feature is the cockpit: over 18 lineal feet of seating for a big family. It sails single-handed on the main alone, and it doubles as a fishing skiff with an outboard to 7.5 hp. Vee-bottomed hard-chine hull in quarter-inch plywood, about 370 lb.
Written for the amateur. Allow 200 to 320 hours plus rigging. Glen-L sells the usual hardware, rigging and sail kits. Real hours and elapsed months from logged builds show below.
What building a Glen-L 15 actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
