Gung Ho

Designed by Glen-L Marine

A 28 ft express cruiser from Glen-L Marine in classic style, with full 6 ft 3 in headroom, an enclosed head, L-shaped galley, vee berths and a convertible dinette. Double-diagonal plywood bottom with bulbous keel and reverse-curve chine, sheet plywood sides; single or twin central inboards. Finished bright with chrome it draws a crowd.

Glen-L notes one builder logged 18,000 hours on his, which says something about how far you can take the finish. A realistic budget for a good amateur finish is 2,500 to 4,000 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
