Huck Finn
Designed by Glen-L Marine
Glen-L Marine's modular pontoon boat, drawn for lengths from 12 to 28 ft on an 8 ft beam with full-size patterns for the pontoons and details for the deck; what goes on top is up to you, from a swim raft to one of Glen-L's cabin plans for a houseboat. Flaring bowed pontoons on all but the 12-footer; protected waters only.
Glen-L says just about anyone can build it, even someone whose woodworking stops at firewood. Budget 150 to 400 hours depending on length and what you put on the deck. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Huck Finn actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
