Jolly Roger
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 27 ft 9 in semi-displacement cruising trawler yacht from Glen-L Marine that cruises at 7.5 knots on about 25 hp and can cover roughly 1,000 miles on one tank of diesel. Raised deck forward, a stateroom with head and shower, a pilothouse for two and an aft cabin sleeping two more. Build in plywood or one-off fiberglass; about 10,400 lb.
A big but hard-chine plywood boat. Budget 2,000 to 3,500 hours over three to six years. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Jolly Roger actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
