Ocracoke 256

Designed by Graham Byrnes

A Carolina style outboard sportfisherman by Graham Byrnes of B&B Yacht Designs, released in October 2015. It is 25 ft 6 in on deck and 27 ft 11 in including the integral plywood bracket, with a trailerable 8 ft 6 in beam, 16 degrees of deadrise, about 2,700 lb dry without engines and a 300 hp maximum. One owner reported 40 knots with 200 hp. It can be built open with a raised casting platform or as a cuddy with two 84 in bunks.

The hull is planked over a jig, and B&B says it developed every detail of the construction with the home builder in mind. Earlier building experience is strongly advisable. Expect 2,500 to 4,000 hours as a rough guide. Measured medians from build logs appear below.
