Kingfisher
Designed by Glen-L Marine
An 18 ft center-console sportfishing boat from Glen-L Marine, virtually all cockpit, with a raised casting deck, a helm seat that pivots into a fighting chair and stowage for gear, bait and catch. Full-length 18 degree deep-vee sheet plywood hull with lift strakes, radiused keel and reverse chine, about 800 lb; outboards to 175 hp or an I/O to 750 lb.
Full-size patterns and a fastening schedule for professional results, Glen-L promises. Budget 400 to 700 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Kingfisher actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
