A 28 ft 6 in full-displacement motorsailer from Glen-L Marine that holds up to 7 knots under a 15 hp diesel or gasoline engine and sail together, with berths for five in three cabins, an enclosed head with shower and a big galley. One-off fiberglass in foam sandwich or C-Flex planking. Glen-L publish a beam of 9 ft 11 in and a draft of 4 ft 0 in.
Sail area is - Main (actual) - 190 sq ft. Displacement is 11,000 lb. Headroom below is 6'-4". The hull is a full displacement round bilge form with maximum hull speed of 7 knots. Designed for "one-off" fiberglass construction using either PVC foam sandwich core or fiberglass planking with fiberglass laminates. Big, heavily ballasted and fully fitted out. Budget 2,500 to 4,000 hours over four to seven years. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
