Kodiak
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 28 ft 6 in full-displacement motorsailer from Glen-L Marine that holds up to 7 knots under a 15 hp diesel or gasoline engine and sail together, with berths for five in three cabins, an enclosed head with shower and a big galley. One-off fiberglass in foam sandwich or C-Flex planking.
Big, heavily ballasted and fully fitted out. Budget 2,500 to 4,000 hours over four to seven years. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Kodiak actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
