Mai Tai
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 23 ft 2 in trailerable deep-vee express cruiser from Glen-L Marine built around an 11 ft cockpit for fishing and diving, with berths for two, a galley and space for a head forward. Sheet plywood on bulkhead construction; outboards, I/O or vee drive to 800 lb.
Glen-L describes the bulkhead construction as sturdy yet easy for the amateur. Budget 700 to 1,200 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Mai Tai actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
