Shangri-La
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 23 ft 2 in trailerable double-cabin cruiser from Glen-L Marine with private accommodation for two couples, a central weather-protected helm, forward vee berths, an aft cabin with hanging lockers and a full-headroom galley under the hatch. Sheet plywood deep-vee hull on a bulkhead system, inboard to an outdrive.
Bulkhead construction is strong and simple for an amateur. Budget 1,000 to 1,800 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Shangri-La actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
