Monsoon
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 22 ft 3 in trailerable express cruiser from Glen-L Marine with a central inboard over the center of buoyancy, so engine weight does not upset trim: 75 hp gives 20 knots, 180 hp about 31. An enclosed head, galley, dinette and vee berths for two or three, on a double-diagonal plywood bottom with sheet plywood sides.
Glen-L kept the construction as simple as the double-curvature bottom allows. Budget 900 to 1,500 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
What building a Monsoon actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
