Vandal
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 22 ft 3 in high-performance tug from Glen-L Marine: an authentic tug above the waterline, a planing variable-vee hull underneath that reaches ski-boat speeds on I/O or outboard power. Self-bailing cockpit, bulwarked side decks, 6 ft 3 in pilothouse headroom and two berths in the trunk cabin. Sheet plywood over wood framing or welded aluminum, about 4,400 lb.
Aimed at the do-it-yourselfer with full-size frame and backbone patterns. Budget 1,200 to 2,000 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Vandal actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
