Nomad
Designed by Glen-L Marine
An 18 ft outboard day cruiser from Glen-L Marine with an open-backed cabin, sliding windows, an inside helm and seats that convert to two 6 ft 6 in berths, plus a concealed head and galley cabinet. Three-eighths sheet plywood hull, vee forward and flat aft, single or twin outboards to 135 hp total.
Simple sheet plywood construction; some builders extend the cabin or leave it off entirely. Budget 400 to 750 hours. Real hours from logged builds appear below.
What building a Nomad actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
