Play Pen
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 15 ft 5 in outboard dive and fishing boat from Glen-L Marine built around one very large open cockpit on a garvey bow with a vee bottom, an exceptionally wide deck-line beam with heavy flare for reserve buoyancy. Sheet plywood with a sawn harpin and chine that avoid bending longitudinals forward; about 550 lb, outboards to 75 hp or a light I/O.
The sawn members make the forward framing easier than usual. Budget 250 to 450 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Play Pen actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
