Pot Luck

Designed by Glen-L Marine

A 33 ft 3 in New England lobster boat from Glen-L Marine, round-bilged with a flat run aft, flaring bow and long deep skeg, drawn so a competent amateur can build the type in strip-planked wood or one-off fiberglass. A single midships engine of 100 to 120 hp gives 16 to 18 knots; sleeps three; about 9,250 lb.

Strip planking a 33 ft round-bilge hull is a big but well-understood job. Expect 3,000 to 4,500 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
