Scooter
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 15 ft 9 in shallow-water flats boat from Glen-L Marine with a through-tunnel hull that lets the motor be raised, drawing 4 in with 1,000 lb aboard, for the knee-deep backwaters of the Gulf coast. Sheet plywood, about 600 lb, outboards to 120 hp. Not a boat for open water.
Glen-L calls the build easy, with no building form. Budget 250 to 450 hours. Real hours from logged builds are below.
What building a Scooter actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
