Tubby Tugboat
Designed by Glen-L Marine
A 9 ft stitch-and-glue tugboat for children of all ages from Glen-L Marine, with four watertight compartments for flotation, a wide, deep hull for stability and an outboard to 5 hp. Built from standard sheets with patterns for virtually every part including planking and decking.
Glen-L found that once dad gets in it is hard to get him out. Allow 60 to 120 hours. Measured medians from logged builds appear below.
What building a Tubby Tugboat actually takes
Medians from the build logs kept on this site, not the designer’s estimate. Nobody has logged this boat here yet, so they are empty until the first builder does.
Those medians firm up as more people log this boat.
